it is said that local farmers gave police a tip off that two vans were transporting illicit cigarettes from Musina using the Alldays road, transporting illicit cigarettes and heading towards Saamboubrug policing area.

Police with the help of local farmers conducted a Quick operation to stop and search the two vehicles at the Maasstroom crossroad , upon arrival police tried to stop the vans but they sped off . This led to police conducting a speedy chase with the assistance from farmers leading to one of the suspect being caught and the other suspect abondoned his vehicle but was latter found hiding in nearby bushes .

the two are expected to appear on the Senwabarwana Magistrates’ court soon for possession and smuggling of illicit cigarettes.
